Class A CDL Class A Hostler Driver Job

Acme Distribution is looking for CDL Class A Hostler Driver to join our team at our Henderson location!
Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Starting Rate: $21.50/HR (Plus $2.49/HR Union Pension)
Our Truck Driver must possess and maintain a Class A - Commercial Driver’s License. Have a clear understanding of all state and federal DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations and policies. Be able to deliver and pickup general freight to/from warehousing facility or to/from individual retail locations.

Responsibilities:
• Safely move trailers in a fast-paced environment.
• Maneuvering yard hostler switching full 53’ trailers with empties in a tight close yard.
• Maintain safety procedures and operation of equipment
• Report all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to the warehouse manager
• Additional equipment you may be required to operate forklift, when needed work in the role of a forklift person
• Make recommendations and assist in implementation of process improvements
• Hostler will be working inside and outside, sometimes wet and/or snowy environment.
• Maintain clean driver’s record
• Complete deliveries in a timely manner
• Communication with dispatch office
• Pre/Post-dispatch equipment inspections; safe operations of all equipment
• Perform other functions as assigned
• This position abides by GMP and Food Safety/Quality regulations set by the company
Requirements:
• Class A CDL
• Ability to work in various temperatures (inside warehouse or outside)
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: 21.50/hour PLUS MONTHLY BONUS
