Class A Full Time Class A Driver Job

Organically Grown Company is seeking full time Class A Drivers to be based out of its Portland, OR location. This position is primarily responsible for delivering customer orders in good condition while representing OGC in a positive, professional manner at all times. The position is also responsible for performing driving and non-trip duties to meet the Company's goals for safety, customer service, efficiency, and accuracy.
This position includes a $2000 sign-on bonus with an additional $2000 bonus after one year of employment.

Responsibilities:
• Represents OGC in a positive, professional manner at all times. Informs buyers, sales and/or operations of customer complaints, feedback and praise. Answers customer questions about OGC products and services, or refers customer to appropriate staff as needed. Follows through on customer service.
• Delivers OGC product following an assigned route schedule. Communicates changes in expected delivery times to OGC customers and staff as necessary. Verifies product to invoice, completes required documentation, and obtains customer signature to ensure accurate delivery. Completes and documents pallet exchange process. May collect payments for product delivered.
• All routes have electric pallet jacks and liftgates. Minimal hand trucking required.
• Checks product and paperwork to ensure accuracy of pickup and delivery. Conducts damage and quality checks. Communicates any quality problems to appropriate staff as needed.
• Completes required (DVIR) Daily Vehicle Inspection Report. Maintain accurate timecard entries in time keeping accountability systems, including taking appropriate rest periods.
• Reports any mechanical problems or accidents (including damaged equipment) to Transportation Supervisor. Ensures any equipment used for leading/unloading is returned to appropriate location.
• Delivers and picks up trucks for repairs and service as needed.
• Attend department and all staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:
• Valid Class A Oregon Commercial Driver's License required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Position typically requires a High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of related commercial driving experience.
• Should have an understanding of cold chain custody, perishability/fragility in handling, quality (e.g. convey info back to acct reps), product line, seasons, customer service and retail landscape.
• Additional warehouse experience and a knowledge of produce varieties preferred.
• Previous work experience in a perishable products industry preferred.
• Experience with workplace longevity, working a required schedule, showing up consistently and on time.
• Must have the ability to learn and use a variety of computer software programs.
