Class A Local Driver - 2nd Shift Job

Pay range: $20.25-$25.00/hr (+$1500 SIGN ON BONUS!)
Shift - 2nd (3:00 to 11:30pm Monday - Friday)

The qualified candidates will transport products or materials via truck to specified destinations utilizing equipment for which current licensing is maintained. Load or unload, wrap goods to secure load to trailer walls using straps, give directions to helper in packing and moving goods to trailers. Responsible for receipt of parts delivered by the Company to client production facilities and subsequent delivery of product to designated point of use delivery areas. Create and read bill of lading (BOL) to determine assignment. Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to verify condition and ensure conformance to BOL. Communicate with Point-of Use area and management as needed. May also perform other functions based on licensing and vehicle size requirements.
A Local Driver is responsible for the efficient transportation of product to customers within a local market in a manner that meets customer and company requirements. Additional job functions include:
Safely operate, transfer, and deliver freight utilizing a tractor-trailer and/or other equipment in a lawful manner
Safely operate material handling equipment to load and unload materials and ensure proper closure of trailers
Properly conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and provide documentation upon completion
Provide basic equipment maintenance, and report equipment malfunctions as necessary
Properly secure loads and ensure all loads are within weight limits
Maintain required documentation including daily logs, vehicle inspection records, mileage, unloading and shipping records

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 6 months relevant experience required
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License required
Current DOT medical card required
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
Available to work overtime during the week and on weekends as necessary and determined by workflow
Must pass a client-specific background check
